Rustlings Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly local tennis club where new members of all abilities are welcome to join our social members for regular tennis, events and tournaments.
When to Play?
We offer organised social play sessions on Sunday mornings from 10:30, Thursday mornings from 10:00 am and Friday evenings from 6:00 pm all year round. We also have a combined team practice and social play session on a Wednesday evening throughout the year. Players who are considering joining Rustlings are welcome to drop in for one free organised social play session to try out the club, and meet some of our social players. When the courts are not in use for matches or organised play, the courts are available to all members free of charge and can be booked online. It is also possible to play as a visitor for a fee of £5 per person, or to book a court to play singles or doubles tennis with others for up to 2 hours at a cost of £5 per person. Additional charges apply to play under floodlights.
Social And Competitive Play
From spring to autumn, the club hosts a number of monthly social tournaments, which provide the perfect environment to welcome new members to the club. Members who enjoy playing competitively without having to commit to club level matches can participate in our box leagues, which run throughout the year, and our annual Intra Club Championship tournament is always a popular event.
Team Matches
We field competitive teams in the Sheffield & District Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles leagues throughout the year. The teams also meet throughout the year for match practice on a Wednesday evening.
